NIMACON 2026 is the flagship national congress convened by the National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA), Uttar Pradesh State Chapter, in academic partnership with the Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. It gathers India's most distinguished physicians, research scholars, students and clinicians for a two-day interdisciplinary conclave centred on Ayurveda and Integrated Medicine.
The conference is hosted by the NIMA BHU Branch — an institution rooted in the intellectual heritage of Banaras Hindu University and committed to nurturing next-generation clinicians. Together with the Department of Dravya Guna, Faculty of Ayurved, IMS, BHU as the collaborating academic department, NIMACON 2026 brings together the finest institutional stewardship of Ayurvedic sciences in the country.
Set within the timeless spiritual city of Kashi — the eternal seat of learning — and held at the historic SHATABDI KRISHI PREKSHAGRIHA, INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE, B. H. U. VARANASI on the BHU campus, the conclave offers a rare confluence of tradition, evidence and academic gravitas. The National Integrated Medical Association is India's longstanding professional body representing Ayurvedic physicians and integrated medical practitioners. The BHU Branch is one of its most active academic chapters — bridging classical scholarship with contemporary clinical practice.
Rooted in the traditions of Charaka, Sushruta and Vagbhata, and animated by the rigour of modern research, NIMA advances Ayurveda as a science of healing that is both timeless and evolving.

NIMA BHU
The BHU Branch of the National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA) — the national body of institutionally qualified integrated-medicine practitioners, established in 1948 to protect the rights of ISM graduates and promote integrated medical education. As the local host chapter, it drives conference planning, professional advocacy, and delegate outreach across the Varanasi region.

Organizing Associate
Department of Dravya Guna, Faculty of Ayurved, IMS, BHU
The academic department within the Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, dedicated to Dravyaguna — the study of Ayurvedic Materia Medica and Pharmacology, covering the identification, classification, and therapeutic application of medicinal herbs and formulations. As the on-campus host department, it coordinates venue liaison with BHU and day-to-day secretariat operations.

National Commission For Indian System Of Medicine
The statutory regulatory body under the Ministry of Ayush, constituted under the NCISM Act, 2020, and operational since June 2021 in place of the erstwhile Central Council of Indian Medicine. NCISM frames policy for Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Sowa-Rigpa medical education and oversees the quality and standards of ISM medical professionals nationwide.
